The San Francisco Fire beat the Hollywood Stars, 7-3, at Hollywood Grounds. San Francisco shortstop Jared Priest, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, collected 1 single and 1 double with 2 runs batted in. Vinny Narvaez closed the door for San Francisco, picking up his 1st save of the year. Hollywood, at 4-11, is off to a poor start in 2023.

With San Francisco leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Priest hit a curveball from Victor Trevino for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Fire ahead, 5-2.

Priest told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
