Both offenses were relatively subdued at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Fortunately for the Phoenix Gladiators, though, Ton Ariëns was able to deliver in the clutch. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run, to lead his team past the Dallas Dragons, 3-1. Manny Brant closed the door for Phoenix, picking up his 7th save of the year. The Dragons fall to 6-9.

John Platzer, who finished 5th in the AC in hits with 180 in 2024, had a direct impact on the outcome. Platzer contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Phoenix up, 2-0.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Platzer.
