Scorpions Get Thrilling 4-3 Win
|
The Syracuse Scorpions found a way to sneak past the Boston Whistlers, 4-3, in 10 innings. Syracuse pitcher Josh Hamilton, for one, had a standout performance. The winner was Ken Allbaugh in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Mark Dudley took the loss. The Scorpions, with just their 5th win so far in 2022, have yet to catch fire.
The most important at-bat for Syracuse came in the top of the tenth inning, when third baseman Kyle McKinney stroked a full count sinker to right-center for a run-scoring single, putting Syracuse up, 4-3.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Hamilton.
