Gangsters Paste 6-3 Loss on Captains

Chicago pitcher Ken Hicks did his part in helping his team beat the Tampa Bay Captains, 6-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winning pitcher was Hicks, now 2-1. He tossed 5 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Chicago is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 3rd in 15 games.
The Gangsters got a big at-bat from left fielder Paul Morgan. For the game, Morgan was 2-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 6th double of the season gave Chicago a 4-1 lead.
Morgan attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
