The Phoenix Gladiators beat the Dallas Dragons, 9-1, at Gladiators Ballpark. Paul McCarthy, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The setback makes the Dragons 5-9.

The Gladiators got a big hit from second baseman Zack Husley. Facing Dallas pitcher Kyle Connell in the bottom of the fifth, Husley pounded a solo home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Gladiators ahead, 3-1.

"We came out aggressive," said Gladiators manager Matt Tamayo. "We came out swinging the bats."
