Dallas parlayed a decent outing from starter Brad Bixby into a solid win over the Halifax Heathens. The final score was 5-3. Luis Najera got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. Adam Holland closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Carlos Rodriguez went 1 for 3 with a double for Dallas. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Rodriguez, who finished 3rd in the NC in hits with 176 in 2020, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Halifax hurler Ray Fight, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Dragons a 3-2 lead.

"We did enough to win," said Rodriguez.

The victory makes Dallas 9-5, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2025.
