Seagulls Defeat Invaders, 7-6
|
Oakland right fielder Ernesto Ramirez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Invaders dropped a 7-6 decision to Sandusky at Seagull Park. Ramirez hit 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Mike Fisher picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Tom Paolucci suffered the loss. Sandusky, now 8-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Seagulls got a clutch hit from center fielder Josh Spencer. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Seagulls.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant J.R. Wilson, the Sandusky skipper.
