San Francisco turned a fine outing from starter Miguel Berrios into a victory over the Hollywood Stars at Hollywood Grounds. The final score was 4-0. Berrios, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. Jon Messer earned the save for San Francisco, his 1st of the year.
San Francisco won the game in part because of Willie Villegas. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fire ahead, 3-0. For the game, Villegas had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
