Mounties Win with Late Rally
The Vancouver Mounties faced a tenacious opponent in San Diego pitcher Corey Gruver, but still scratched out a win at San Diego Stadium by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Gruver went 9 innings and allowed 1 run. Vancouver reliever Brad Edwards picked up the win to move to 3-0. Justin Pierce suffered the loss. The Fleet fall to 5-8 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2022 season.

Vancouver used a timely hit from Jason Coppa to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mounties ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Chris Evans.
