The San Francisco Fire downed the Hollywood Stars, 6-5, at Hollywood Grounds. The Fire were led by Jared Priest. Priest was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Adam Holland locked down his 5th save. The Stars, now 3-10, continue their sluggish start.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Gabe Garza to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fire on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Hollywood manager Sean Simmers.
