Mounties Win Squeaker, 6-5, Over Dragons
In a tight contest at Mounties Field, the Vancouver Mounties edged the Dallas Dragons by the score of 6-5. Vancouver left fielder Brian Shultz, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Vancouver reliever Jesus Fernandez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Codi Morrow. The Dragons fall to 5-7 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2021 season.

The Mounties got a clutch hit from third baseman Jimmy Jones. In the bottom of the 20th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mounties.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Jones. "And not try to do too much."
