Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Pines, 5-4
Game 5 was big. So was Ryan Henry.

In leading Maine to a crucial 5-4 victory over the Charleston Sea Dogs at Oakhurst Field, the Maine starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6 good innings. Henry threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs as the Pines defended their home field to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Championship Series.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Pines right fielder Tyler Tolbert hit a changeup from Jonathan Brey for a 2-run home run. Just like that, Maine was up, 4-3.

"Ever since we qualified for the playoffs, the guys have been razzing me about how I'm going to embarrass myself out there," the rookie Tolbert said with a smile. "I'm glad to prove them wrong, at least for a day."

Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday at Ballpark of Charleston in Charleston.
