Fleet Clip Pines, 3-2, in DS Contest
San Diego starter Rodrigo Lemus turned in an exceptional performance and got some last-minute help as the Fleet forced the Divisional Series into a decisive Game 7. The left-handed Lemus threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball in a must-win situation against the Maine Pines, keeping San Diego close enough to take the 3-2 victory on a 9th-inning walk-off. The winner of the series will advance to the Championship Series.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dale Day in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off former first round draft pick Nick Slover to win the game for San Diego. The home crowd went nuts.

"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Maine manager David Whigham.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Peter Seidler Memorial Stadium in San Diego.
