Charleston Wins Divisional Series
|
The Charleston Sea Dogs will continue the trek towards a World Series title, while the Indianapolis Eagles are headed home for the season.
Charleston won the Divisional Series with a clinching game 4-2 victory at Eagles Stadium, concluding the series at 4-1.
"We didn't want this thing to go any further, that's for sure," Jason Perrigin said after officially being named series MVP.
He turned in a dominant offensive performance to win the award, with a .350 batting average, .435 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 6 RBI and 4 runs scored.
The Charleston Sea Dogs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Diego Fleet - Mexico City Aztecs series. San Diego leads the series 3 games to 1. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
