Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Rockets, 3-0
|
In a pivotal Game 5, the Huntsville Rockets were hoping for a big game from starter Mike Bruce. They got one.
The right-hander shut out the Dollywood Partons, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 3-0 victory. The Rockets took the 3-0 win over the Dollywood Partons to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
In his 91-pitch effort, Bruce allowed no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 7.
"All in all, I thought Mike pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Huntsville manager Alec Roller.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 6th , 2025 at Dolly Parton Ballpark in Pigeon Forge.
