World Series Game 1 Goes to Halifax, Thanks to Orozco
The Halifax Heathens started the World Series in style, downing the visiting Charleston Sea Dogs at Estadio Azteca by a score of 7-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Heathens shortstop Leo Orozco was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times.

Catcher Paul Gaither made an impact for Halifax, when he swatted a 2-run double off Omar Cons in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Gaither was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
