Halifax Win Evens Series at 3
|
The Halifax Heathens and the Philadelphia Marauders will take the Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Heathens beat the Marauders, 3-1, at Marauders Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Halifax left-hander John Dollar had a big role in the win. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball.
Dollar allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7 innings for the Heathens. He walked 3 and struck out 7.
"John set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Halifax manager David Morris.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Marauders Ballpark in Philadelphia.
