Boston third baseman Brian Roseman pounded Halifax Heathens pitchers at Estadio Azteca, but it was not enough to keep the Whistlers from falling, 6-4, in Game 2 of the Championship Series. Roseman was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, though he couldn't keep the Whistlers from slipping to a 2-0 deficit in the best-of-7 series.

Margate, Florida-born Eric Kukowski came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Heathens trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double to left to put Halifax on top.

"I felt good up there," said Kukowski. "I saw the ball well."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Whislters Park in Boston.
