Boston Tops Halifax, 6-1, Claims 2-1 Series Lead
Halifax had trouble with Boston starter Jay Helm, who frustrated Heathens hitters, as the Whistlers cruised to victory, 6-1, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. The Whistlers now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the right-handed Helm, who controlled Halifax throughout the contest and threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run.

Boston used a timely hit from Dave Aschenbrener to get the win. The designated hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Whistlers on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Helm called the win "a collective effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Estadio Azteca in Halifax.
