Sikeston and Santa Barbara got after it at Car Ramrod Park.
Jayden Howard was a vital contributor to the 5-2 Sikeston victory over Santa Barbara. The Shamrocks center fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Keith Carter, who leads the SL2 with a 1.15 WHIP, was the winner. He's now 14-6. The loser was Mike Giacalone.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Howard hit a 2-run home run. It thrust the Shamrocks into the lead, 2-0.
Sikeston manager William Antczak called it "a good, solid win."
