The Halifax Heathens started the Divisional Series in style, winning on the road against the Boston Whistlers at Whislters Park by a score of 6-4 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Heathens first baseman Josh Fitzgerald excelled. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 times.
