Montreal Wins Again, 3-1
Despite a great performance by Nashville starter Xavier Cooper, the Montreal Royals defeated the Lasers by the score of 3-1 at Lasers Ballpark. Cooper threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball, but he couldn't prevent the Royals from moving one game closer to the World Series. Montreal now leads the League Championship Series 2-0.

Sam Paiva came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Paiva.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 28th , 2025 at Turtles Ballpark in Montreal.
