Still Kicking: Phoenix Cut Philadelphia Series Lead to 3-1 With Late Win
Already down in the Divisional Series, the Phoenix Gladiators put on their best show, beating the Philadelphia Marauders by a final score of 1-0. Derrick Espinosa was special. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Phoenix now trails Philadelphia 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 36-year old right fielder Victor Gonzalez had a chance to be the hero. Philadelphia pitcher Luke Getts wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Gonzalez drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Gladiators had themselves a thrilling win.

Gonzalez said his team "played with focus."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gladiators Ballpark in Phoenix.
