Nakajima Blasts Tigers, Bulldogs Take Game 4, 6-5
|
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the League Championship Series, the London Tigers could not close the deal.
Game 4 went into extra frames and the Hamilton Bulldogs emerged victorious, taking a 10-inning, 6-5 win. Hamilton shortstop Yoshito Nakajima went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times in the win at Ballpark of Oklahoma City to drag the Bulldogs back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Nakajima delivered big-time for Hamilton, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Bobby Pfau. The game-changing hit put the Bulldogs on top, 6-5.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Emmanuel Montano, the Hamilton manager.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Oklahoma City in London.
