Cornwall Takes 1-0 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The Cornwall Royals took the first game of the League Championship Series in dramatic fashion, topping the Augusta Capitols with a ninth-inning walk-off, 3-2 victory. Capitols pitcher Carlos Loera had a productive, if futile, game. He threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball.

Taiju Kusanagi was the walk-off hero for Cornwall. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Royals catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Kusanagi called the win "a team effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at King George Park in Cornwall.
