The Winchester Mountaineers got a strong performance from pitcher Edward Ness, who stymied the Encinitas offense en route to a 4-0 win in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. The Eskimo Brothers could never get a bead on the right-handed Ness, who threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The Mountaineers now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

With no one out in the bottom of the fourth, Pat Grayson put Winchester in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Mountaineers went on to win the ballgame.

"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Winchester manager Mitchell Young.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 25th , 2026 at EBDBBNB Park in Mobile.
