Almost There: Moncton On Cusp of CS Triumph After 10-5 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of second baseman Aaron Nelson, the Moncton Mounties flattened the Whitby Bats, 10-5, in Game 4 of the League Championship Series. Nelson went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Mounties, who now lead 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Moncton used a clutch at-bat from Travis Grossman to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mounties ahead, 7-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We came out aggressive," said Mounties manager Johnny Hoffman. "We came out swinging the bats."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Eláguila Stadia in Whitby.
