Anast Shines in 8-1 Indianapolis Win
The Indianapolis Eagles beat the Toronto Trash Pandas, 8-1, at Eagles Stadium. David Anast, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The winning pitcher was former first round draft pick John Hennig. He tossed 99 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The Eagles, at 92-71, lead by one game in their division.

With Indianapolis leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Anast batted against Toronto pitcher Jim Murphy. Anast hit a splitter to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Eagles on top, 5-0.

"I like our moxie," said Eagles manager Pete DuBay.
