Howard hits 2 home runs to Ignite Shamrocks Offense
The timely hitting of Jayden Howard helped the Sikeston Shamrocks down the Montgomery Missions, 10-8. Howard went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles for the Shamrocks. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Drayton in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Lee Davidson took the loss. Tim Suttle closed the door for Sikeston, picking up his 12th save of the year.

In the bottom of the sixth, Sikeston designated hitter Jake Hoffmann put his team on top. With two out and the bases loaded, he hit his 20th double of the year. Montgomery pitcher Dave Crumpacker served it up. Just like that, the Shamrocks were ahead, 8-7.

"We've got a great group of guys," Hoffmann said, "and we're having fun right now."

Montgomery now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
