In the 9-7 Sikeston win over Montgomery, the impact of Chris Cooper was substantial. Cooper, who is tied for 9th in the SL2 in bases on balls with 65, went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Mike Reich, who is tied for 6th in the SL2 in wins with 10, was the winner. He's now 10-2. The loser was Josh Fields. Tim Suttle, credited with the save, is now 11 for 11 in save opportunities.

In the bottom of the 6th, second baseman Russ Philip gave Sikeston the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Shamrocks had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Montgomery pitcher Josh Fields changed that -- and Sikeston went on to win.
