Division Series Game 1 Goes to Hamilton, Thanks to Reed
The Hamilton Bulldogs started the Division Series in style, downing the visiting Vail Tigercats at Mariachis Ballpark by a score of 9-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bulldogs right-hander Chris Reed threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball.

Nate Lombardi hit a 2-run double off Mike Brown in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Bulldogs in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Lombardi had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

Said Vail manager Mike Alexander: "They just got the better of us."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mariachis Ballpark in Hamilton.
