Rotters Clip Mountaineers, 2-1, in DS Contest
The Riverside Rotters nearly wasted a strong game from starter Kyle Rodriguez, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the Winchester Mountaineers.

Rodriguez was exceptional in the 2-1 win at Rotters Ballpark. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run. The win allowed Riverside to cut the Winchester lead in the best-of-7 series to 2-3.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 25-year old right fielder David Moore had a real shot to win the game. Winchester pitcher Scott Turner was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Moore hit a run-scoring single. The Rotters had a walk-off triumph.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Moore said, postgame.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 21st , 2025 at Mountaineers Park in Winchester.
