Riverside Breaks Through for First Win in Division Series; Now Trails 3-1
The Riverside Rotters have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Winchester Mountaineers, winning, 3-1, at Rotters Ballpark. Rotters right-hander Jimmy Grams threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Rotters to 3-1 in the best-of-7 Division Series.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Rotters had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when third baseman Ken Fortin hit a 2-run home run. The home run came off Jaiden Harvey and made the score 3-1, Rotters. Fortin was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It was a solid team effort," said Grams after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rotters Ballpark in Riverside.
