Hamilton Breaks Through for First Win in Division Series; Now Trails 2-1
The Hamilton Bulldogs have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Cornwall Royals, winning, 4-1, at Mariachis Ballpark. Bulldogs left-hander Edwardo Rodriguez threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Bulldogs to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Rodriguez was dominant for Hamilton. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts. He threw 84 pitches over 7 innings in the contest.

"Edwardo did a nice job," said Bulldogs manager Tony Velez.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mariachis Ballpark in Hamilton.
