Cornwall Wins Again, 3-2
The Cornwall Royals got a strong game from starter John Mills, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Royals took the 3-2 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs in Game 2 of the Division Series in a 14th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Mills. Mills threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball in the win, which gave the Royals a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Batting in the bottom of the 14th, 27-year old center fielder Scott Porter had a real shot to win the game. Hamilton pitcher Colby Kelly was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Porter hit a run-scoring single. The Royals had a walk-off triumph.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Jon Williams, the Cornwall skipper. "This one tested us."

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 16th , 2026 at Mariachis Ballpark in Hamilton.
