With starter Wade Mueller leading the charge, the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers defeated the Riverside Rotters, 7-5, in Game 2 of the Division Series. The right-hander threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs at EBDBBNB Park to help Encinitas take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Patrick Springs, Virginia-born Jim Voci came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Eskimo Brothers trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Encinitas on top.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Voci said after the game.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Rotters Ballpark in Riverside.
