Division Series Game 1 Victory for Hyun and Encinitas
When he got to Encinitas, Jae-weong Hyun was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Division Series.

The 20-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the visiting Riverside Rotters, 5-0, in a remarkable performance at EBDBBNB Park. With the win, the Eskimo Brothers took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Cameron Kovatch swatted a solo home run for Encinitas in the bottom of the sixth. The center fielder went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.

Kovatch called the win "a collective effort."
