The exploits of center fielder Rafael Farrand, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2022 draft, helped the Savannah Alpines defeat the Anaheim Music, 4-2. Farrand was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Savannah pitcher Tatsuya Oshima earned the win, hiking his record to 4-1. Andy Espindola suffered the loss. Savannah is first in the Sub League 2 West Division with a record of 66-56.

Farrand had a timely hit for Savannah in the top of the eighth. With Savannah trailing 2-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Savannah.

"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Anaheim manager Ed Arroyo.
