1B Botello Lights Up Dread Kings for 5 RBIs as Mountaineers Extend Lead
With first baseman Josh Botello leading the charge, the Winchester Mountaineers got past the Boise Dread Kings, 7-3, in extra innings in Game 3 of the Division Series. Botello went 4-5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice at Ballpark of Boise as Winchester managed to take a 3-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Winchester used a timely hit from Billy Carroll to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mountaineers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Carroll.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Boise in Boise.
