Martinez Helps Winchester Take Division Series Game 1
The Winchester Mountaineers started the Division Series in style, downing the visiting Boise Dread Kings at Mountaineers Park by a score of 4-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Mountaineers left-hander Ricardo Martinez threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

Tied up with the Dread Kings in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Mountaineers got a boost from second baseman Pat Grayson. With a runner on 2nd, Grayson saw a 1-2 fastball from Aaron Lasco and hit a 2-run home run to break the stalemate and put Winchester on top, 4-2.

"We're on quite a roll right now," said Grayson.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mountaineers Park in Winchester.
