Daytona Beach Drops Another One, 3-2
|
John Hennig, the 15th overall pick in the 2019 draft, had a strong outing for the Indianapolis Eagles against the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles at Eagles Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. James Gibson closed it out for Indianapolis, earning his 3rd save. The win gives Indianapolis a record of 8-4.
T.J. Walker, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 draft, took Daytona Beach hurler Jon Haynes deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Eagles on top, 3-2. In all, Walker had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Daytona Beach manager Ken Bennett. "It's just not paying off."
