The Indianapolis Eagles defeated the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 9-4, in National Conference action at Eagles Stadium. Indianapolis pitcher Jerry Bowman had a standout performance. The victory makes Indianapolis 7-4.

In the bottom of the third, Indianapolis designated hitter Jerry Robinson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Robinson stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 4-0, Indianapolis. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Daytona Beach manager Ken Bennett.
