Jim Anderson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Indianapolis Eagles from being beaten, 6-4, to the Maine Pines at Eagles Stadium. Anderson went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Picking up the win was Matt Graham. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 7 and walked 1. Maine is first in the National Conference North East Division with a record of 76-32.

Maine used a clutch at-bat from Bruce Richards to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Pines ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
