Brent Hansen left his imprint on the 3-2 Austin win against the Dallas Dragons. Hansen, who led the AC in triples with 11 in 2021, threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The second-place Desperados go to 61-47.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Desperados had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the sixth, when shortstop Ruben Alamo hit a 2-run single. The single came off Ben O'Halloran and made the score 3-1, Desperados. Alamo went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Austin manager Adam Ponder.
