San Francisco Loses, 8-6, Despite Nava Exploits
San Francisco right fielder Michael Nava had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-6, to Mexico City at Gran Estadio Azteca. Nava hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The save went to Jeff Cox, his 25th this season. The Aztecs now have a record of 61-47 with the win over San Francisco.

Mexico City got a big at-bat from Brighton, New York native Kevin Cimini, who in the bottom of the third hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Aztecs ahead, 7-0.

Mexico City manager Pete Clark was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
