The Austin Desperados trumped the Dallas Dragons, 6-4, at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Austin center fielder John Austin was terrific. He went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Felipe Moreno picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 10-7. Victor Angel locked down his 4th save.

Austin used a clutch at-bat from Leo Serna to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Desperados ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Austin manager Tim Ward commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

Austin is now 59-48, while Dallas is 45-62.
