Fire Drop Nightmare, 6-5
|
The San Francisco Fire and New York Nightmare put on quite a show.
Matthew Little left his imprint on the 6-5 San Francisco win against the New York Nightmare. Little, who is on pace to hit 44 home runs this season, went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. San Francisco reliever Taylor Motyl was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Adam Holland.
Little had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Adam Holland, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Fire a 6-5 lead. It was the 29th home run of the year for Little.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Little.
San Francisco is now 58-49.
