The Mexico City Aztecs locked up a win at Gran Estadio Azteca, knocking off the San Francisco Fire, 5-1. On the mound for Mexico City was right-hander Taylor Motyl. He played a major role in the triumph. The Aztecs now have a record of 60-47 with the win over San Francisco.
Hunter Long hit a run-scoring double off Everett Treadwell in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Aztecs in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Long had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Long. "And not try to do too much."
