Syracuse pitcher Tyler Hildebrand did his part in helping his team beat the Cincinnati Royals, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Hildebrand went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 8-8. Omar Trujillo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 29 of 31 save opportunities.

Eric Bradstreet's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Syracuse. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 1st and Syracuse trailing 2-1, the center fielder hit a run-scoring single.

"I felt good up there," said Bradstreet. "I saw the ball well."
