The San Diego Fleet cut down the Hollywood Stars by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Paul Pittman. Pittman went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Fleet. Brad Antol snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Victor Trevino suffered the loss. Justin Pierce, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 25th save.

Jacob Kennedy's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the game tied, 4-4. The San Diego right fielder hit a 2-run single off Jose Ceballos to put the Fleet up.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Pittman said.

San Diego is now 56-50, Hollywood 61-45.
