The Austin Desperados topped the Dallas Dragons, 4-1, in American Conference action at Dell Diamond. The standout performance belonged to Austin pitcher and Ft. Worth, Texas, native Sam Campos. Campos, now 10-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Joe McLaughlin, credited with the save, is now 5 for 5 in save opportunities.

The Desperados got a big at-bat from right fielder Leo Serna. For the game, Serna went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave Austin a 1-0 lead.
