Fountain Hills Rallies for 4-2 Win
|
The Fountain Hills 23ers picked up a win at Fountain Park, dropping the Detroit Giants, 4-2. Sean Muzzy, who is tied for 9th in the AC with a 1.18 WHIP, was the difference-maker. The win belonged to Donovan March in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Ryan Heyer took the loss for Detroit. The 23ers sit in second place in the American Conference North East Division with a record of 55-51.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Isaiah Mill came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Detroit pitcher Nick Turpen, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Fountain Hills on top, 4-2.
"Sean is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Fountain Hills manager Efren Nieman.
