The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles beat the Carolina Reapers, 8-2, at Leatherback Park. The win was due in part to catcher Chris Wagner, who went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Chris Booth in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Jake Triplett took the loss. Daytona Beach is 44-62 and Carolina, with the loss, 42-64.

Aaron Rakers helped out the Daytona Beach cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Julio Rodriguez.
