Streaking Eagles Win Another One, 9-2
The first-place Indianapolis Eagles took on the Maine Pines in front of a spirited crowd.

The Indianapolis Eagles thumped the Maine Pines, 9-2, at Eagles Stadium. Henry Cortez was a big reason his team got the win. Cortez went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Morgan Jenkins got credit for the save for Indianapolis. It was his 4th of the year.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Eagles grabbed the lead when Cortez hit his 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Dave Figley made it 4-2, Indianapolis.

"We've been playing some good baseball," Cortez told the Indianapolis Observer. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."

The victory gives Indianapolis a record of 66-40.
