Royals Earn 4-3 Win Against Nightmare
|
Cincinnati beat New York on the strength of starting pitcher Tom Kitko's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The win puts Cincinnati at 61-44 this season.
The Royals got a clutch hit from right fielder Gregorio Valenzuela. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Royals.
Kitko said his team "played with determination."
