The New York Nightmare got a strong performance from pitcher Joe Schroeder, who stymied the Cincinnati offense en route to a win, 4-1, at The Castle. Tony Rosario notched his 12th save of the season. The Nightmare now own a record of 52-53.

Juan Andrade had a big run-scoring double for the Nightmare in the top of the third inning. With New York leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a slider from Juan Fernandez, who finished 4th in the AC in strikeouts with 229 in 2022, and swatted a double to right. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nightmare ahead, 2-0.

"Joe giving us the start that he did was huge," said New York manager Joey Bishop.
